Anupaya Adventures - Spirit of Bali

APRIL 20TH  -  APRIL 28, 2020

We are absolutely THRILLED to be offering a transformational 8 day retreat in beautiful, magical Bali.

This incredibly beautiful and awe inspiring island is one of the most spiritually and culturally rich places on Earth.

Staying in a luxurious boutique resort, we'll chill by the pool, eat delicious and healthy meals, explore yoga, movement and meditation and experience epic adventures, all while enjoying the stunning beauty of Bali.

Together we'll visit some of the most magical places on the island - from a vibrant day in Ubud, to sunrise hikes on Mount Batur, exploring sacred water temples and rice terraces, breathtakingly beautiful beaches and authentic Balinese towns.

We’ve carefully crafted a life changing, one of a kind adventure and we simply can’t wait to share it with you!

why travel with Anupaya adventures?

All Inclusive Approach

We take care of the details so that you can spend your time making memories that will last a lifetime.

Locally Focused

We believe in supporting the local communities we travel to and aim to meaningfully contribute to the local economy by hiring local guides and support staff on our adventures.

We Give A Damn

We adhere to leave no trace practices while striving to leave our shared spaces cleaner than we found them.

Yoga and mindfulness

We have optional yoga and mindfulness classes every day to help prepare our bodies and minds for the days adventure.

Community Centred

We are committed to creating experiences that build relationship, community and meaning because every journey is richer when shared.

Authentic Experiences

We strive to immerse ourselves in the local culture and learn directly from the people and places we visit.

Naya Ubud

Nestled in plush tropical gardens and surrounded by lovely rice fields, Naya is a beautiful retreat and boutique resort.

Only a 7 minute drive from the centre of Ubud, guests have quick access to Bali’s renowned cultural hub but will feel far enough from the crowds and traffic to enjoy the magic and essence of rural Bali.

A beautiful property designed to embrace you into the beauty, bounty and bliss of Bali, Naya’s main purpose is to become a home for others to gather and to reconnect with their potentials, wisdom and gifts.

A sacred space for deep inner transformations, healing and those cherished AHA moments.

Do I need to book my flight?

You are responsible for booking your own flight. Here is the important arrival and departure info.

Airport: Ngurah Rai International Airport (Denpasar - DPS)

Arrival Date: April 20th (between 11am-3pm)

Transfers are included from DPS during the time range. Out the time range we will help set up pickup, but will not be included. Transfers from other hotels to Naya will not be included.

Departure Date: April 28th, anytime after 12pm

Transfers are included to Denpasar (or Ubud) during the time range of 11am-3pm. Out of the time range, we will help set up your transfer, but it will not be included. Transfer to other hotels will be included as long as they are not too much out of the way.

Fly in/out of Ngurah Rai International Airport, also known as Denpasar International Airport (DPS), which is the main airport in Bali located 13 km south of Denpasar.

The retreat begins with yoga at 5:00pm on April 20th and you can arrive at the retreat centre as early as 2pm to check in and get settled. We include shared shuttle service if you arrive at the DPS airport between 11am-3pm on April 20th. We’ll collect your flight details so we can set up shared rides. If you arrive outside of this arrival window or are coming from another place, we can still help you arrange transportation. And you can always arrive in Bali a night or two early!

Finally, check out on the 28th is at 12pm, so we suggest midday or evening flights out.

where will we be staying?

Only the most beautiful retreat centre ever!!!

Naya Ubud is nestled in plush tropical gardens and surrounded by lovely rice fields, this beautiful boutique retreat centre is only a 7 minute drive from the centre of Ubud, so guests have quick access to Bali’s renowned cultural hub but will feel far enough from the crowds and traffic to enjoy the magic and essence of rural Bali.

A beautiful property designed to embrace you into the beauty, bounty and bliss of Bali, Naya's main purpose is to become a home for others to gather and to reconnect with their potential, wisdom and gifts. A sacred space for deep inner transformations, healing and those cherished moments.

Naya will be our home for our empowering and beautiful retreat, our soft landing after the days adventures and our place to truly, fully rest and replenish.

how often will we be practicing yoga?

Once a day. Sometimes with a bit more heat and flow and sometimes suuuuuuper juicy, slow and restorative. We'll go with he flow of the week and move the way it feels most nourishing. All classes are absolutely optional.

do I need a visa?

Yes, a visa is required for Indonesia. A visa-upon-arrival system is in place for most countries including Australia, Canada, US & EU citizens.

When you arrive at the airport in Denpasar you will enter the Visa-on-arrival line, where you will be asked for US$25.00 and your passport will be stamped for 30 days from the date of arrival.

If your passport is due to expire within 6 months, we advise you renew.

should I bring a yoga mat?

There are plenty of yoga mats and props at Naya Ubud, but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

what is the food like?

The food is Balinese fusion - farm to table, traditional dishes with a healthy spin. Meals are typically offered in a beautiful buffet, mostly vegan and vegetarian with some meat options at lunch and dinner.

If I want to get the early bird price do I have to pay in full or just the deposit?

You only need to put the deposit down to lock in the Early Bird price. The remainder will be due 60 days prior to the retreat start day.

What are accommodations like?

Accommodations are shared.

If you are travelling with someone, let us know and we'll pair you together. If you are travelling solo, we'll pair you up with someone awesome. And then, friends forever!!!!!!!

If you would like private accommodations, reach out. The price increases, but its definitely an option!

how do I exchange money?

Probably best to wait until you get to the airport in Denpasar. There are bureaus where you can exchange cash or travelers cheques, and ATMs are everywhere.

Please tell your bank and credit card companies the dates that you will be in Bali or elsewhere, as they might cut off your funds for fraud protection if they don’t know it is you.

Asia loves Visa or Master Card.

It’s helpful when you change if you can ask for some additional ‘small money’, bills in denominations of 1,000 / 5,000 / 10,000 rupiah.

The exchange rate is approximately Rp.11,100 = $1.00. Basically, things cost A LOT less in Bali.

is bali safe?

The Balinese people are among the most friendly in the world.

As for safety in the streets, there is very little violent crime, especially in Ubud. Much less than typical North American cities.

In beach areas one has to take precautions against pickpockets, just as most beach tourist spots in the world.

travel insurance?

Yes, Anupaya requires each trip member to purchase individual travel insurance for their trip. We suggest that you include “cancel for any reason” with your policy. You must purchase travel insurance that includes medical coverage.
